6.1 A restraining order issued in respect of a person shall remain in force for thirty days from the date of issue unless it is revoked earlier.

6.2 In sub-section 6.1 Regardless of what is written, if it is necessary to maintain the location order issued in accordance with this Act for a period of more than thirty days, the local authority shall send it in writing to the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Home Affairs along with the reason and basis thereof. If the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Home Affairs approves the recommendation of the local authority, such order shall remain in effect for ninety days from the date of issue.
